High-rise integrated design firm office on the 18th floor of the landmark tower, One Cal, located in Bunker Hill District of downtown Los Angeles.
PLANTERIOR DESIGN
We love the challenge of going to new heights and adding nature elements to a concrete jungle setting. While the 18th floor office space has stunning views of Downtown Los Angeles, it was important to balance the city environment with greenery and calming jungle vibes. We installed plants on top of four columns more than 10ft high. Our first step was to add waterproof pond liner to the columns to ensure all millwork and electrical wiring remained protected.
We paid close attention to the details of the office architecture and selected plants that would complement existing shapes and design. With 10ft high columns, trailing plants were a must to cascade down all sides, providing a canopy jungle affect.
We also provide weekly visits to maintain and encourage consistent growth of more than 180 plants.
